It's Finally Here!

Election Day! This is excruciating! How am I supposed to concentrate today? The anticipation is killing me! Let's hope this will all be over soon, and not a big dragged out mess.

How was your election day? Did you go to the polls or vote early? Was there tension in the air? Were people distracted and glued to CNN? I wanna know!

Um, probably not the comment you were hoping for but my voting day was very exciting with my absentee ballot. I loved filling it out and having it in the house. I can't wait for tonight!!

I picked up my husband early from work today and we all went as a family to the polling place. Curt and I each took a daughter to the booth with us. I let my older daughter fill in the circle on my ballot for Obama.

We are staying glued to our televisions and the computer tonight! I keep checking for returns to be posted, even though it's only about 4:30 p.m. right now.

Ed and I early voted last Friday to avoid the lines today. We are tuned into CNN online and on cable -- and biting our nails as we hear of glitches at voting machines breaking down, missing names on voter rolls and long, long lines. I hope it goes as well as it has looked for the last few polls.

Joanne, you will appreciate this . . . I yard dutied today, and the kids on the upper yard were so into it. It was fun to hear all their (or their parents!!) opinions!! One 5th grade class had an election and Obama won in a landslide, only 1 McCain vote, the other was an exact split, 15 to 15, I thought that was very interesting! The other teacher did not do a vote. It's a historic day for sure!!!
