Is it some kind of shock-avoidance training? I'd love to know how they do it.

This is hilarious. My husband and I are from Kansas and are trying/hoping/praying to get a transfer to NZ. Your blog and your writing are fantastic -- and have confirmed all my fears about what it's like to drive over there! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Joanne doesn't have as hard of a time driving as I do. I have to periodically remind myself not to veer into oncoming traffic.

Glad you enjoy the blog and hope you can get some good info out of it. Feel free to ask us anything.

Do you think once you've settled in and know Nz intimately, you will do a compare and contrast with Australia sometime?

Your blog has a new look today. Was that an effort to improve or writer's block sending you to "moving all the furniture around?" Either reason, it's fun and looking good. Fun to see others enjoying it too.

Hello Rachel!

Yes, we definitely want to cross the Tasman at some point and check out some of the southeastern Australian coast. After reading Bill Bryson's account of travels in Oz, we're both keen to see for ourselves.
